FAL MORGAN

Words: Katherine Kurtz
Music: Marty Coady-Fabish

 From Cardiff's fierce mountains our ancestors came.
 They brought to the starlanes our proud Morgan name.
 On promise of new worlds, they severed Earth's ties.
 They sought a new Homeland and found the Dorsai.

 Fal Morgan, Fal Morgan, when morning is grey,
 Your wallstones and roof-tree stand near me today;
 A touchstone for courage, for strength they can fear.
 Sustain me, Fal Morgan, if Death passes near.

 Now Dorsai fared not as her settlers had dreamed,
 For natural riches were not her's it seemed.
 So Dorsai bred soldiers and bartered in men,
 And the word of one Dorsai were diamonds to spend.

 Fal Morgan, my home, how I long to be near.
 I love not strange worlds with their quarters so drear.
 Once more I would see you, my childhood delight,
 Instead of the dread of the enemy's might.

 Our commandant signals, the battle is nigh,
 But I shall not falter, for I am Dorsai.
 But Morgan, Fal Morgan, I rather would be,
 At home 'neath your roof-tree, than on Harmony.

 Fal Morgan, Fal Morgan, when morning is grey.
 Your wallstones and roof-tree stand near me today;
 A touchstone for courage, for strength they can fear.
 Sustain me, Fal Morgan, if Death passes near.
